My photography journey:

I graduated with a BA in International Relationships and an MBA, and worked as a project manager in the construction & engineering world until becoming a mom - no less than during the pandemic.

When motherhood didn’t look like the photos I saw online, I turned to my camera to capture the love that was not glamorous, but more raw, fierce and real than anything I had ever done. That journey led me to family documentary photography, a genre that is both artistic and healing. It is also technically very challenging, which always pushes me to grow. I have had the honor of learning from the most incredible photographers in the documentary family industry, and I continue to pursue formal learning opportunities. Documentary photography is a lot more about learning how to see a story than which button to push.

As a photographer, my mission is to take the kind of photographs that pull us away from the trends, the filters, the fake narratives and pressures, and back into our own lives - until that’s the only place we ever want to be.

I create the kind of photos that feel like coming back home.

My background:

I am proud of whom I come from. From my childhood in Serbia, I remember the war and struggle, but what I remember so much clearer is the humor, hospitality, deep-rooted faith and community. Oh, and so much good, homemade food. The resilience, love and sacrifice of my ancestors is what drives me to pass down the stories to the next generation as a reminder of all that is in them, in us all.

We inherited a broken world, but we also inherited boundless imagination, love, and courage.

Working with me:

For families, I create “morning in the life of” or “day in the life of” sessions that tell the unique story of how you actually live and love.

For weddings and events, I capture both the energy of the group and the small, personal moments—the tears, tender touches, nervous looks, questionable dance moves, and everything in between.

For portraits, we create images in an environment that helps tell your story—your home, favorite outdoor space, or workspace. No beige or olive green unless that’s actually your style. We collaborate so the setting, posing, and experience feel like you.

My editing stays true to documentary integrity. I don’t remove or add things that weren’t there, and I don’t use AI to process your photos. I hand-edit each image to enhance its story, not fabricate it or follow fleeting trends. Greens stay green, colors stay colorful, and I love black and white, too.

Most importantly, I keep you, you. I don’t alter people’s bodies. My goal is to celebrate you and your life as honestly and beautifully as I can.
